The Cap Seller and the Monkeys
Once upon a time, a kind cap seller walked through a sunny village carrying a basket full of colourful caps. Feeling tired, he rested under a big shady tree.
When he woke up, he was shocked — his basket was empty!
Looking up, he saw a group of playful monkeys sitting on the branches above, each one wearing his caps and giggling mischievously.
The cap seller tried shouting. The monkeys shouted back.
He waved his arms. The monkeys copied him.
He realised something — the monkeys were imitating everything he did!
With a clever idea, he took off his own cap and threw it on the ground.
The monkeys, eager to copy him again, removed their caps and tossed them down too.
The cap seller gathered his caps, smiled at the clever trick, and continued his journey.
