Our Team

We are a small team with lot of passion for what we do and not at all scared of hard work. That’s how we built Baanika with love and passion.

Founder- Baanika

Cardiologist with passion towards art and tradition, her journey with Baanika began during motherhood. In those quiet, sleepless nights, she realised how delicate a baby’s world is — and how everything around them matters.

In search of something truly pure and gentle, she found herself reconnecting with age-old textile practices rooted in care and simplicity. What began as a personal quest soon became a larger purpose.

Baanika was born from this intent — to bring back purity, tradition, and thoughtful choices into the lives of our little ones.

Co-founder

Being a Hepatologist and an entrepreneurial mindset, Prasanna brings a strong focus on care, purpose, and execution. His journey with Baanika grew from a curiosity about natural dyes and their gentle, skin-friendly nature.

As he explored further, he recognised both their value and the challenges that have kept them from scaling. Instead of seeing this as a limitation, he saw an opportunity to do things differently.

At Baanika, he works towards making natural-dyed clothing more accessible — balancing authenticity, tradition, and thoughtful processes.

Digital & Technical Support

Behind Baanika stands not just a team, but a bond that goes back to childhood. Their friendship began in primary school and continues to be a part of this journey.

Alongside her full-time career, she brought Baanika to life in the digital world — building the website from the ground up. From repeatedly redesigning it to researching, troubleshooting, and handling everything we couldn’t, she has been instrumental behind the scenes.

Her patience, dedication, and unwavering belief in this vision have played a key role in shaping Baanika into what it is today.

Graphic Designer

A talented hardworking graphic designer, working alongside his own professional commitments, has been a quiet force behind this— refining images and creating visuals that stay true to Baanika’s aesthetic across our website and Instagram.

His dedication to consistency and detail is deeply reflected in how Baanika looks and feels.
